PSA Ameya, a subsidiary of PSA India, and GR Logistics Park (Indore) Private Limited, a subsidiary of G R Infraprojects Limited (GRIL), have formalised an agreement to operate an Inland Container Depot (ICD) at the Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Indore. This partnership is PSA Group’s first venture into rail operations of an ICD in India.

Indore, identified as one of the 35 locations under India’s national master plan for multi-modal connectivity, holds strategic importance. Boasting rapid urban growth, Indore serves as a hub for industries such as automobile, pharmaceuticals, iron and steel, and more. Situated within the influence zone of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, Indore is poised to emerge as a leading inland hub for containerised EXIM (export-import) movement.

PSA International Regional CEO Middle East South Asia and Head of Group Business Development Vincent Ng said, “Both PSA and GRIL possess similar values and business philosophies. We favour creating long-term value with our partners and are resolute about quality and execution excellence, constantly innovating and leveraging on technology to create competitive advantage. We look forward to working with the GRIL team to realise the vision of transforming Indore into a key logistics hub for the region, and in doing so, supporting India’s national logistics ambitions.”

Under the agreement, GRIL will oversee the development of the entire MMLP facility, while PSA will manage the containerised rail operations. Leveraging PSA’s global leadership in container port operations and its presence at Nhava Sheva Port (Navi Mumbai), the collaboration aims to provide doorstep delivery of logistics services to industries in the region.
